In
the beginning there was one man, one truck and one
purpose… to deliver top quality oil at discount
prices. In March, 1996, with his family at his
side working in a small office on Neal Court in
Plainville, Connecticut, Gary F. Antigiovanni
started Plainville Oil Company. It was only a
matter of time before his business grew and
flourished.
In
April 1999, Gary took his company to new levels
with the purchase of his 73’ by 83’ building which
sits on a 1.3 acre lot on 125 Whiting Street in
Plainville. By making this move to a new location,
he expanded his opportunities in the industry to
new levels. The lot was cleaned up and the
equipment upgraded. All of the in-ground storage
tanks were removed. The 550,000 gallon on-site
above ground oil tank serves not only as a
guarantee to customers that they can count on
Plainville Oil to deliver when others can’t but
the tank also supplies other area oil companies.
Along with the larger building and added
convenience of on-site loading racks came the need
to enlarge the fleet of trucks and workers to
accommodate the increasing number of customers.
Currently Plainville Oil has five trucks operating
for oil deliveries. In all times of need,
regardless of the time of day or the day of the
week, Plainville Oil Company will respond in a
timely manner to serve their customers.
In
the year 2000, Plainville Oil extended its service
department beyond its one technician, who would
perform annual tune-ups and emergency service
calls. The expansion of the service department was
based upon high demand from loyal customers for
excellence in service. The five licensed and
insured technicians on staff right now make for a
department with over 20 years experience to
provide 24 hour emergency service for all heating
and cooling concerns. Some of the other services
provided by these skilled technicians include
installation and removal of tanks (above and in
ground) , furnaces, boilers, burners and central
a/c.
Also in that same year, Plainville Oil Company
began leasing its 1994 Mack truck along with the
driver out to area construction and trucking
corporations to assist in hauling materials to
different job locations. Today, the company is
running 5 tri-axles for over a dozen corporations
and a full staff works in shifts to keep up with
the abundant amount of business these trucks
bring.
After six years of business in town, Plainville
Oil Company has made its mark in the community.
The diverse customer base includes Plainville Town
Offices and Highway Department, Plainville Schools
as well as a number of area churches, small
businesses and larger commercial establishments.
Whether it’s a residential 275 gallon tank or an
industrial 20,000 gallon tank, Plainville Oil has
the means to provide efficient and dependable
